AUSTRALIA WIN QUAD SERIES

September 24, 2018

Australia have won netball's Quad Series for the fourth time.  The Diamonds did it in style, winning all three of their matches.

In the first match against South Africa, in Auckland, captain Caitlin Bassett led the way, scoring 31 goals at 91% in a 61-44 victory.  Stephanie Wood chipped in with 15 goals.

Caitlin Bassett scored 37 goals at 93% in the tough 52-47 win over England in Newcastle, and closed out the tournament with a stunning 45 goals in Australia's 60-55 victory over New Zealand in Melbourne.

Coach Lisa Alexander now needs to get the Diamonds ready for a test series against New Zealand in October, as they continue to build towards next year's World Cup in Liverpool.
