After an off-season mired in the coaching drama which saw Michael Maguire replace Ivan Cleary, Wests Tigers will be looking to improve on their ninth place finish of 2018. The Tigers have picked up the promising pair of Ryan Matterson and Paul Momirovski from the Sydney Roosters to complement a backline that includes Moses Mbye, Luke Brooks, the veteran Benji Marshall, exciting centre Esan Marsters, winger David Nofoaluma, and 2018 top try scorer Corey Thompson. Centre Kevin Naiqama has left the Tigers to continue his career at St Helens.
Robbie Farah will again guide a forward pack that includes Chris Lawrence, Matt Eisenhuth, Elijah Taylor, Russell Packer, Alex Tawl, and Ben Matulino. The Tigers will be hoping Josh Reynolds and Chris McQueen can make successful returns from injury after missing almost all of 2018.
