CANTERBURY

A new era begins at Canterbury in 2019, with plenty of high profile players leaving the club due to salary cap pressure.  The Bulldogs lost Aaron Woods to Cronulla and Moses Mbye to the Wests Tigers during the 2018 season, and now farewell test players Brett Morris, Josh Morris, David Klemmer, and Greg Eastwood.

Queensland prop Dylan Napa joins Canterbury fresh from his role in the Sydney Roosters’ premiership triumph; while young halfback Jack Cogger has moved from Newcastle.  The Bulldogs have also picked the Penrith pair of Corey Harawira-Naera and Christian Crichton.

The Bulldogs will rely heavily on a number of promising youngsters, including Papua New Guinea lock Rhyse Martin, five-eighth Lachlan Lewis, and centre Kerrod Holland.  There are still a couple of old hands to provide guidance, including former Blues second rower Josh Jackson, forward Aiden Tolman, and veteran utility back Will Hopoate.  The Bulldogs will also be hoping Kieran Foran is fully fit for the first time in several seasons, and can return to his best form.
