WINX MAKES HISTORY AT COX PLATE

Champion racehorse Winx has made history at the 2018 Cox Plate by becoming the first horse to win the event four years in a row.  Only Kingston Town had previously won three in a row in the early 1980s.  An unbackable favourite, Winx finished ahead of Benbatl, Humidor, and Avilius to capture the title for the fourth time.  Trainer Chris Waller has indicated if Winx remains healthy, there may be future races in store.  The Cox Plate win was her 29^th in a row.

The Cox Plate was the last major event before the Melbourne Cup, which will be run on November 6.
