AUSTRALIAN WOMEN WIN ODI SERIES AGAINST PAKISTAN

The Australian women’s cricket team has completed a 3-0 clean sweep of Pakistan in their One Day International series in Malaysia.  In game one, Pakistan were bowled out for just 95 in the 38th over.  Nicola Carey and Megan Schutt each took three wickets.  Australia reached their target with five wickets in hand.  Alyssa Healy top scored with 26.

In game two, Australia batted first, and compiled a score of 7/273.  Meg Lanning blasted 124 from 106 deliveries, while Rachael Haynes scored 79.  In reply, Pakistan were all out for 123, with Nahida Khan scoring a stoic 66.  Sophie Molineux took 4/14 for Australia.

Australia completed the whitewash with an 89 run victory in game three.  Batting first, Australia made 7/324, with Alyssa Healy making 97, and Ashleigh Gardner blasting an unbeaten 62 from just 37 deliveries.  Pakistan made 7/235 in reply, with Aliya Riaz top scoring with 51.  Ashleigh Gardner took 3/44 in a Player of the Match performance.
