BEST SOLUTION WINS CAULFIELD CUP

The Dubai based Godolphin stable has claimed its second Caulfield Cup victory, as top weight Best Solution finished ahead of the more fancied Homesman to claim the trophy.  Best Solution has now won his last three Group One races, and must be a serious contender for the Melbourne Cup.

Jumping from barrier 16, Best Solution took time to get into the race, but had moved into third place by the 800m mark, behind Ace High and The Taj Mahal.  Homesman, who had battles Ace High for the lead earlier, found its second wind, as The Taj Mahal dropped out of contention.

Best Solution hung on from a fast finishing Homesman to win at $12.70.  The Cliffsofmoher was third, and must also be considered in any talk of Melbourne Cup winners.  The race that stops the nation will be held of November 6^th.
