Australia have put the shock loss to New Zealand in Hamilton behind them by beating the Silver Ferns 58-47 in Wellington. The victory hands the Constellation Cup to Australia for the sixth year in a row, with a 3-1 victory over the four test series.
It was a triumph for captain Caitlyn Bassett, who scored 37 goals from 43 attempts. Gretel Tippett was promoted to the starting line-up, and responded with 21 goals from 25 goals. Rookie wing attack Kelsey Browne was named the player of the match.
