NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES UPDATE

October 17, 2018

The Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers are locked at two games apiece in the National League Championship Series.

Two runs from Joc Pederson helped Milwaukee to a hard fought 6-5 victory in game one of the series.  Los Angeles fought back in game two with a 4-3 victory, after being down 3-0 at the end of the sixth inning.  A home run from Justin Turner in the eighth proved the difference for the Dodgers.

In game three, Jhoulys Chachin was the star pitcher for Milwaukee, as they kept Los Angeles scoreless.  Travis Shaw, Christian Yelich, Erik Kratz all scored for the Brewers, and a home run from Orlando Arcia in the eighth inning put the icing on the cake of a 4-0 win.

Game four was much tighter.  Chris Taylor scored a run in the first inning for the Dodgers, and Milwaukee had to wait until the fifth to level the game, thanks to another run from Orlando Arcia.  The teams were tied at 1-1 at the end of the ninth inning, and went into overtime.

It took a run from Manny Machado in the thirteenth inning to separate the teams, and give the Dodgers a much needed victory.

Game five is in Milwaukee tomorrow.
