USAIN BOLT STARS FOR CENTRAL COAST

October 12, 2018

Usain Bolt’s dream of a professional football career is a step closer tonight, following a two goal performance for the Central Coast Mariners in a trial against Sydney team, Macarthur South West United.

Bolt, the eight time Olympic gold medallist from Jamaica, is looking to make the transition to professional football at the age of 32.  The first goal came in the 57th minute, and was marked by Bolt’s trademark “lightning bolt” celebration.  He scored a second in the 68th minute, before being substituted seven minutes later.

The A-League season commences on October 19.
