FFA CUP SEMI-FINALS

Adelaide United and Sydney FC will play in the final of the FFA Cup after both teams recorded victories in their semi-finals.  Adelaide had a 2-0 win over Melbourne side, Bentleigh Greens; while Sydney FC defeated arch rivals Western Sydney Warriors 3-0 in Penrith.

Ben Halloran opened the scoring for Adelaide in the 21^st minute.  Jordan Elsey doubled the lead with a goal shortly after halftime.  Sydney and the Wanderers went into their halftime break both looking for the opening goal.  It came from Trent Buhagiar in the 49^th minute.  Siem de Jong scored in the 64^th minute, and Sydney secured victory with a 75^th minute penalty from Glenville le Fondre.

The final will be played in Adelaide on October 30.
