The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated after round five of the NFL season. The Chiefs defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-14 after racing to a 20-0 halftime lead. The Los Angeles Rams also made it five from five for the first time since 2001. The Rams had to come from behind to beat the Seattle Seahawks 33-31.
The Cincinnati Bengals are 4-1 after coming from 0-17 down to beat the Miami Dolphins 27-17. The New Orleans Saints are also 4-1 after smashing the Washington Redskins 43-19. Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees now holds the all-time NFL record for passing.
Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles are still on top of NFC East, despite going down by 23-21 to the Minnesota Vikings. Two touchdowns set up by quarterback Carson Wentz in the final quarter was not enough to secure victory for the Eagles.
The New England Patriots are back on top of AFC East after a 38-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Tom Brady became just the third player in NFL history to throw passes for 500 touchdowns. The Colts are now 1-4, and sit at the bottom of AFC South.
Other highlights of the round were a 46 yard field goal from Stephen Hauschka to snatch a 13-12 win for the Buffalo Bills over the Tennessee Titans; and a massive 63 yard field goal from Graham Gano, which gave the Carolina Panthers a 33-31 victory over the luckless New York Giants.
