Queensland have moved a step closer to the JLT final after defeating South Australia in the first qualifying final. Sam Heazlett continued his good form, blasting 83 from 59 balls. Joe Burns scored an unbeaten 80, as Chris Lynn notched 68. Jimmy Peirson justified his selection by smashing 70 from 49 deliveries as Queensland reached 5/363.
In reply, South Australia started well, with opener Jay Weatherald scoring 69, and Callum Ferguson smashing 101 from 80 balls. Jake Lehmann, Tom Cooper, Alex Carey, and Cameron Valentine all made promising starts, but were unable to capitalise. South Australia were bowled out for 334 in the 48th over. Mark Steketee, Mitchell Swepson, and Matthew Kuhnemann each took three wickets for Queensland.
