AUSTRALIA INTO FINALS OF WOMEN'S WORLD CUP

The Opals have advanced to the finals of the World Cup.  Australia defeated Spain 72-68, and will clash with the United States for the trophy.  Liz Cambage led the way with 33 points.

Australia will go in as underdogs, having not beaten the USA in ten World Cup games, and seven Olympics games.  The Americans qualified for the final by beating Belgium 93-77.

Australia remains undefeated in the tournament, having already beaten Nigeria, Argentina, Turkey and China on their way to the semi-finals.

The final will be played at 5am Monday (Sydney time).
